Garden Design
Now based in Sutton Courtenay, I have been a professional garden designer for over 30 years, focusing on projects in Oxfordshire, Norfolk and the Home Counties. I originally trained for my Certificate of Garden Design at the College of Garden Design with world renowned garden designers Lucy Huntingdon and Robin Williams. Planting has always been my passion so I supplemented my design training with a specialist plant course at Capel Manor.
My career in garden design has always been focused on understanding my clients and what they want from their gardens. I will create you a beautiful space, large or small; whether you want an area to entertain friends, room for your children to roam or a cosy garden to relax in. My design emphasis is on planting and how soft landscaping can provide instant impact and years of enjoyment.
The Garden Design Process
The design process begins with a free visit to your garden. We will speak before the visit so I can understand some of your requirements and I always bring a selection of images, books for inspiration and my design portfolio so we can start refining your needs and understanding your style.
Whether you are a keen gardener wanting help to shape your ideas or an absolute novice I will make the process work for you. After this initial meeting I will come back with a free quote and suggested next steps:

Consultation with a report, ideas, inspiration photos, and sketches.

Full Garden Design which includes a full survey, measurements and soil tests, full layout plan, planting plan with fully itemised plant lists.

Plant supply, sourcing and overseeing the delivery of your plants, placing the plants ready for planting.

Maintenance and ongoing support including liaising with landscapers, and maintenance schedules to ensure your garden looks its best for many years to come.
